Top 6 Urban Brisbane Photoshoot Locations For Couples

There are countless gorgeous photoshoot locations in Brisbane. When clients pick Brisbane City as their photoshoot location, I have a 1.5h itinerary in mind starting from QUT, ending in Roma Street Parklands. In this blog post I am going to share this gallery of this stunning Indian couple’s pre-wedding engagement photoshoot I did for them in 2022, and share this mini itinerary so you can see how beautiful Brisbane City really is!

Brisbane Photoshoot Locations

QUT Old Government House

We started out in George Street within the QUT Gardens Point campus. The Old Government House‘s sandstone walls and pillars make the it up the list of the perfect urban photoshoot spot in Brisbane City. The architecture, decor and design are very unique, and it is packed with history; it is one of Queensland’s most significant heritage buildings. There’s toilets and chic cafe on site as well for a quick break before we head off to the next spot.

The Parliament House

The Parliament House is Brisbane’s leading heritage venue. As we walk out from QUT we can take a couple of wide angle shots here with the cobblestone footpath and romantic gates. During October, the jacarandas outside the Parliament House are so so picturesque – they add another layer of beauty to the photos taken here.

Treasury Casino – a picturesque photo spot in Brisbane city

In the amidst of the gorgeous Brisbane city this 24 hour casino boasts amazing casino, hotel accomodation, entertainment, restaurants and bars. What I truly love about this location is the beautiful colours, structures and architecture. It really is iconic of Brisbane City, hence why it’s one of my favourite spots to photograph. Stairs provide a really good way to capture a variety of intriguing portraits as well. As much as I love photographing couples in a beautiful breathtaking sceneries, I also like to take photos of the details shots because they tell stories. When the camera focuses on your beautiful natural expressions, your ring, your makeup and hair – it really helps serve as a reminder later in the year of how much this season of life means to you and your partner.

Brisbane River

Of course, a little stroll down the bridge along Brisbane River towards Southbank is a must.

Brisbane Town Hall – one of a kind photography location in Brisbane that feels like Europe

Town Hall is a stunning heritage venue sits in the heart of Brisbane city, located adjacent to King George Square (where they played The World Cup of Aussies in top 16 against Argentina!). I absolutely love photographing in Town Hall – the super tall ceilings, ceiling plasterwork, Italian Carrara marble and foyer chandelier make you think you are in Europe!

Roma Street Parklands – one of the best Brisbane Photoshoot Locations that’s free

Finally, we finish our shoot in Roma Street Parkland. It is only a 10 minute walk from Town Hall. Roma Street Parkland is such a beautiful spot that adds lush greeneries and seasonal florals to your final gallery. It definitely is one of my favourite Brisbane photoshoot locations.
