When Lily contacted me, she was determined that she wants her pregnancy photos done in the pink pastel sunset like she saw in my portfolio. "Breathtaking." she describes. I was honoured to do their newborn photos in their beautiful home shortly after. I was overjoyed to see their bubba a year later. These early years of motherhood go by so quickly, document them before it's too late!

Sheaulei's house was perfect for an in-home lifestyle sesssion as it is filled with natural light with big north-facing windows and sheer curtains. When Sheaulei contacted me about a bump to bub session, I was stoked! Newborn twins is every photographer's dream. Unfortunately as the twins arrived prematurely we were unable to do her dream Gold Cost maternity photoshoot. I was on an emotional roller coaster with Sheaulei when she shared her birth story with me. When we finally met for the first time during our newborn session I really thought I was catching up with an old friend. Even till now I love watching story updates of her twins on social media. She reminds me of why I do what I do -- I am so so honoured to be part of her journey.

They also organised the one year photoshoot to be in the same location to celebrate her motherhood journey. Their newborn session was done in their beautiful home.

You will receive a session prep guide & a style guide to help you & your family prepare well for your session. You will personally be invited to our home studio to try on the dresses, or I will visit your home with the dresses you've picked before our shoot.
4. your session!
On the day of photoshoot, get ready to be pampered by my hair and makeup artist. During the session I will give you plenty of guidance on how to pose for beautiful interactive shots. Zero experience needed.
5. your artwork
You will be personally invited view the final gallery on a private online gallery and select the photos you wish to print & purchase. Thereafter, start thinking about where you are going to display these beautiful portraits around your home! The artwork will be delivered to your door, zero fuss!

I had my maternity photoshoot with Isabelle; we shared some ideas and she really listened to me - I wanted to make the photos unique, dreamy and feminine. She discussed with me in advance and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with the dress she prepared. On the day at the start I was a bit nervous so she helped me with some posing, giving me lots of prompts on how to look best posing pregnant. Between a few shoots she would show me the pictures so I can see what angle I like and look the best in. She is so talented. Very good at finding flattering angles and made the photos look very natural and elegant. I was very surprised at the results when I received some pictures. I can't recommend her enough!
Before going for the shoot I was really worried that I would look really awkward, as I could never act naturally during any shoots. However, during the shoot Isabelle kept giving me advices on how I should pose, where my hands should place and how to pose for the most natural facial expression. Throughout the whole shoot she kept praising me and acted really excited to see how every shot looked, which increases my confidence. Isabelle made the whole photoshoot easy and fun. The style of her photography gives a really warm and natural vibe. I would highly recommend Hikari Lifestyle Photography to anyone that’s interested in getting a maternity or family photoshoot.
I booked Isabelle for my maternity photos and before our shoot I was concerned that I would look super awkward but I really wanted to do a boudoir maternity session. I didn't like my skin tone, I was self conscious about the stretch marks and the rash around my belly. During our session Isabelle explained how the session will run, she put nice relaxing music on and the session was so relaxing. She gave a lot of positive comments during the shoot, and she's easy to talk with. The best part of the photoshoot was she present some of photos during shooting and it shows how good her skill is. I never imagined myself looking like this. I would definitely recommend people to reach out Isabelle for maternity photos.
