Where are you based?
Hikari Makeup serves brides in both Brisbane and Taipei, with a curated calendar of wedding dates available in Taiwan throughout the year. We recommend enquiring early to secure availability for your wedding.
Can I book a Taipei bridal makeup artist while living overseas?
Hikari specialises in working with overseas Taiwanese and international brides. Consultations can be arranged online in English or Mandarin, allowing us to discuss your vision, preferences and wedding day arrangements before you arrive in Taiwan.
How do I organise a trial?
Bridal trials can be arranged around your return to Taiwan. It is an opportunity to explore different colour palettes, false lashes, makeup and hairstyles; we adjust as we go until you are happy with the final look. Your trial gives us the time to refine every detail in advance, so your wedding morning can feel calm and seamless. I recommend planning your trial dates as early as possible, particularly if you have limited time in Taiwan.
Do you travel outside Taipei?
Absolutely. Services are available in Taipei, New Taipei, Kaohsiung and other destinations in Taiwan. Travel fees may apply depending on the location.
Do you specialise in natural Korean bridal makeup for Asian features?
Yes. I specialise in natural Korean-inspired and Thai soft glam bridal makeup, with a focus on luminous skin and techniques tailored to Asian features, including monolids and hooded eyes.
Isabelle is honestly one of the kindest and most caring souls we have ever met. Beyond being an incredibly talented makeup artist, she became such a huge support to us on our wedding day, and her kindness is something I will never forget.
She eased so many of my nerves throughout the morning and grounded me when I was feeling overwhelmed. She could tell when I was getting stressed and advocated for me when I needed it most. Having someone so calm, caring and genuinely invested in making sure I was okay meant more to me than I could ever put into words. I can never repay her for the kindness she showed me.
And of course, her makeup was INCREDIBLE. My makeup was absolutely flawless, I received so many compliments throughout the day and it lasted beautifully from the moment I got ready until the very end of the night. Most importantly, she made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt.

From the moment I messaged you, you were so friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. I thought it would be difficult organising a wedding from overseas but you've made things so easy for this last-minute ABC bride! On the wedding day, despite so many things going wrong, my makeup and hair were perfect. You arrived early, brought your own light, and made me feel so at ease as initially I was so worried our room was SO dark.
At first, I wasn't used to the eye makeup, but you were right—it looked amazing in photos! I love how you have the knowledge and experience and you could just tell how makeup will look in photos vs in reality. And my hair? It framed my face beautifully and gave me so much confidence, especially about my jawline. When I saw myself, I actually cried. I felt like a celebrity lol!
