Top 5 kid friendly cafes in Brisbane You Need To Visit

You hit an age where you and your girlfriends no longer hang out in restaurants and bars, but cafes that are kid friendly. Here are 5 kid friendly cafes in Brisbane (southside) that I highly recommend!

Pinwheel Island Kids Cafe, Macgregor

Age groups

Suited for ages 1 month to 7 years of age.

Located near Sunnybank Pinwheel is a perfect indoor space to spend a hot or rainy day. Pinwheel is a dream come true for any fun-loving kids. Their vibrant colours are so cheery and inviting, and the space is super clean. Many parents (& myself) frequent this wonderful cafe where you can sit back with your friends or family and let the kids enjoy the play areas, while still being able to keep an eye on them. There are places to crawl, jump, discover, slide, squeeze, drive or just run free. Their food is reasonably priced and well presented with a unique Korean fusion menu. It’s not massive, which means it’s quieter. Staff are so friendly and quick to respond to queries.

Cream House, Sunnybank Hills

Another hidden gem located in Sunnybank Hills, Cream House is a beautiful kid-friendly cafe boasting great food and super-fun indoor playground.

What I love about this cafe is their food service. QR code ordering, robot waiters make the process easy and entertaining. Cream House prides themselves with their cafe style food. Their chef has over a decade of experience and creates unique flavours for Cream House’s menu. Their pasta is seriously good. The pictures say a thousand words.

Arena 51, Underwood

The owners of Cream House are surely an ambitious bunch; Arena 51 in Underwood is a Brisbane kid friendly cafe targets older kids and is known as ‘Australia’s biggest indoor family entertainment centre! This indoor play centre has everything under one roof. The venue caters for all ages, not many places allow you to join in the fun but this one is made for the adults too. We love the giant slides, rock climbing, parkour. The party rooms look amazing and quiet spacious for large groups.

Arena 51 has an on-site cafe that serves a wide variety of cafe style food to cater to most tastes.

Mini Bounce, Carindale

Situated within Westfield Carindale, this active adventure playground offers a universe of fun for walking age toddlers through to 6-year-old adrenaline hunters!

Firstly, all of mini bounce is soft play packed full of extra cushioned climbing frames and toys. Each trampoline and play area has plenty of space between them to prevent kids knocking each other over.

Their ball pit is the biggest I’ve ever seen in Brisbane. It’s filled with thousands of plastic balls and a really fast slide that lets kids launch themselves into the ball put over and over again! There is an projected interactive screen for kids to throw balls at. I loved that the staff members were on hand at all times in the ball pit to support younger ones; it means parents didn’t have to wade in to support them climb up the slide.

The last (but not least) thing that makes us extra big fans of mini bounce is parents are invited to sit back and relax in the café while the mini bounce ‘hosts’ (staff) facilitate an awesome experience for little ones! There was great visibility from the cafe for parents.
