Animal petting farm & baby horse riding

The Kid’s Corner is a delight for the little ones with an animal petting farm, pony rides and workshops. The animal petting farm had adorable baby animals for the little ones (and animal lovers) to pet and hand feed. If your child loves horses and ponies there will be safe supervised rides available on the miniature ponies.

Time for your kiddos to show off your grooves!

Dance workshops, dance shows, tumbling workshop, jumping jack show, talent quest – so many fun activities to do while you are there!

Food……

I was quite impressed with the variety of options for food when I was there. BBQ, High Class Burgers home style jumbo burgers, Mr Pulled slow cooked beef brisket, lamb shoulder and pork shoulder on brioche burgers, foot-long German sausages from Brat Haus, Woodfire pizza, Nude juice, coffee, icecream and kids’ all time favourite — potato twisters!!

Book a family session in Goodna Jacaranda Festival!

This sweet family of 3 gets their family photos every year. They do not want to get boring Christmas photos sitting in front of an artificial backdrop. Instead, they want to get some outdoor family shots in the jacaranda blossoms.

This session was done BEFORE the festival. So there were no stall set ups yet. The festival is usually held at the end of October. I recommend to schedule your family photoshoot 2 weeks before that.

Sunlight filtered through rows of jacaranda trees, purple blossoms adorning branches that reached for the sky as far as the eye could see. The Spring air was cozy and comfortable, carrying with its gentle breeze the barest hint of Summer with the faint fragrance of jacaranda blossoms.

Tips for family photos

I adore this little family. Miss 3 was difficult to engage at first, but with mum and dad’s help, she felt at ease and started to show her beautiful little smile as we started playing games like tickle fights, bubble blowing and more. When it comes to photographing kids, it’s not all about perfect posing. Sometimes fulfilling their needs (e.g. hunger, thirst) and distracting them is the best way. She was completely in her element when we played bubbles. When she giggled over the bubbles bursting I thought it was the cutest thing.

Thank you for the smiles and laughs and being so present and happy throughout the photoshoot with me, Kira. Perfection is never the goal for family photos. My favourite part of this whimsical glimpse into your session was getting to capture the authentic, genuine interactions between you all and tell your unique story. This was a really special afternoon for me because I had the privilege of being in this intimate space with you guys and getting to know you. I absolutely loved serving you. I hope your experience was fun!  Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments with me! I am lucky to have had the honour of working with you guys again this year in the jacarandas.

xo,

Isabelle
