Located in the heart of Sherwood, KatsuCo is a Japanese restaurant in Brisbane that stands out for its exceptional expertise in crafting the perfect deep-fried delicacies and I guarantee kids will love it. While their menu offers a variety of delectable options, KatsuCo has earned its reputation for serving the most exceptional pork cutlet in town. ‘Katsu’ means deep fried goods in Japanese. Their famous dish, known as tonkatsu, features a tender, juicy pork cutlet coated in a light, crispy golden-brown panko breadcrumb crust. Accompanied by a fragrant bed of rice, finely shredded cabbage, and a tangy tonkatsu sauce, this classic Japanese comfort food is a true delight for both children and adults. With its inviting atmosphere and dedication to culinary excellence, KatsuCo promises an unforgettable dining experience for families seeking the ultimate deep-fried indulgence.
A tonkatsu bento box is $36. A donburi bowl is $24, and it also includes a bowl of rice, miso soup and cabbage salad. There’s two types of salad dressing and the kiwi apple one is one of a kind!
KatsuCo is often crowded on the weekend during peak dining hours. I would try to get there really early at 11am, or go late afternoon after 1.30pm to avoid queues. Parking is quite limited there.
Sono is renowned for its emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients, and it often showcases a harmonious blend of flavours and textures. Brisbane’s Sono restaurant takes these principles to heart and infuse them with a touch of childlike wonder. Whether it’s the artistry of sushi-making, the sizzling showmanship of teppanyaki grills, or the whimsical presentation of bento boxes, Sono has mastered the art of engaging children’s curiosity while satisfying their hunger.
Nestled in the bustling Fortitude Valley, Wagaya is a Japanese restaurant that has gained a well-deserved reputation for its kid-friendly atmosphere and mouthwatering cuisine. From the moment you step inside, Wagaya welcomes families with its warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant’s vibrant decor and spacious seating make it an ideal destination for parents looking to enjoy a meal with their little ones. What sets Wagaya apart is its unique interactive ordering system, allowing children to become actively involved in selecting their dishes from a digital menu. With a diverse range of options including sushi, ramen, and hot pot, Wagaya ensures that even the pickiest eaters will find something they love. En sushi is a small restaurant tucked away in Runcorn near Stretton off Compton Road. There’s indoor and outdoor seating area. It’s pet friendly! Lots of parking on site.
Every dish is beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. The sushi rolls are unique to En Sushi and each time a new one comes out you are delighted. They have such a good range of appetisers such as agedashi tofu, deep fried oysters etc. Menu is on the pricier side for its restaurant ambiance, decor, location but the food is AMAZING!
