so... how is hikari different?
When booking me as your photographer, it's not just light and airy photos I deliver, it's the entire experience, tailored for you. My biggest passion is to guide all my beautiful clients from picking a dream location, hair, makeup and wardrobe, to creating timeless artwork to display in your home and pass down for generations to come.
Having photos taken can be a vulnerable position to be in for some; I will guide you for every step of the way to make you feel at ease and achieve the portraits of your dreams, even if it's your first time. It is my job to guide you into natural poses that photograph easily. My relaxed style captures the connection of your loved ones in a way that feels authentic to you. Often times, the dad/hubby/fiancé even says after the shoot, "Hey that was actually really fun!" Kids walk away with big smiles after all the fun and games they've had with me.
I will spend time scouting and searching the locations for you, ranging from romantic fields of flowers to smooth and serene beaches or lush fields with a backdrop of breathtaking mountains.

Pick a date and location for your photoshoot! Take a look at the packages below. You don't have to decide which package to go with, but a $150 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date.
3. styling & prepping
- a prep & style guide that covers everything to help you & your family prepare well for your session.
- You will personally be invited to our home studio to try on the dresses
- A questionnaire to help get to know you and your family better before our photoshoot, and tailor the whole experience to you.
4. your session
- Leading up to the day I will frequently check in with you to see if I can be of any assistance to you.
- On the day of photoshoot, we will start the day with my hair and makeup artist coming to your home or meeting you at the studio.
- During our session, I will give you plenty of guidance on how to pose for beautiful interactive shots. Zero experience needed.
5. your photographs
- You will be personally invited to view the photos on a private online gallery or come to my home studio to pick the photos you wish to print & purchase.
- Thereafter, you can start thinking about where you are going to display these beautiful portraits around your home!
